Voters also approved a $35 million proposition to support district-wide safety and maintenance capital projects as recommended in the district's building condition survey. The bond proposition passed by 1837 to 740.

Included capital bond projects are:

"I am grateful for the support of our community in passing this budget, which involved making very difficult decisions," Superintendent Corey W. Reynolds said. "Our ongoing financial challenges caused by limited state financial support and ever-increasing costs must be addressed, and this budget is an important step in that direction. Our work is not finished. We will continue to gather community input and feedback as we work to achieve long-term financial health for our students and our school district to preserve a high-quality public education for generations of New Rochelle students to come."

Voters also elected two who ran uncontested for the Board of Education. Carmen Perez was elected to a five-year term and Roshanie Ross was re-elected to a second five-year term.

Voters also approved the New Rochelle Public Library 2026-2027 budget of $7.67 million. The budget carries a 3.75 percent increase in the tax levy. One library trustee, Lucille Renwick, who ran unopposed, was re-elected to a five-year term.

Voters also approved a $55 million library capital bond, which will support a comprehensive, multi-year revitalization of the library, including infrastructure upgrades to heating, cooling, electrical, and plumbing systems, as well as improvements to public spaces.

Once issued, the bond is expected to have an estimated annual impact of $204 on taxpayers.

"We are incredibly thankful to the community for its engagement and support throughout this process," New Rochelle Public Library Executive Director Eugenia Schatoff said. "This vote reflects a strong belief in the Library's role in the life of our city and a shared commitment to investing in its future for generations to come."
