Jewish Music And Arts Festival Plaza Celebrates 50 Years, Returns To Kensico Dam Aug. 16

VALHALLA, NY — Westchester County is ready to host the 50th Annual Jewish Music and Arts Festival at Kensico Dam Plaza.

The big event will take place on Sunday, Aug. 16, from noon to 6 p.m. The festival will mark five decades of programming centered on music, art and community, with live performances, food, and family-friendly activities planned at the county park.

The event is presented by the Westchester Jewish Council and Westchester County Parks, with support from The Kensington and PJ Library. Westchester County said the festival welcomes people of all backgrounds to experience Jewish heritage through music, art, and cultural activities.

"The Jewish Music and Arts Festival is a wonderful tradition that celebrates the richness of Jewish heritage while welcoming people of all backgrounds to come together through music, art and culture," Westchester County Executive Ken Jenkins said. "As we mark the festival's 50th year, we are proud to continue providing a space where families, friends and neighbors can connect, learn and celebrate as one community."

Headlining this year's event is Joe Buchanan. Featured performers are Caleiv Jean, Elijah and The Not For Prophets, Ghazal Mizrahi, Israeli Dancing With Leng, Kosha Dillz, and Maskit Matit. Children's activities include Wondersparks Puppets sponsored by PJ Library, free face painting by Maria, arts and crafts, and playground fun.

"Each year, Kensico Dam Plaza becomes a lively gathering place for culture, connection and celebration," Westchester County Parks Commissioner William Bland said. "With inspiring performances, engaging art and activities for all ages, this festival creates a welcoming space where families and friends can celebrate heritage while building community."

Admission and parking are free. Organizers asked attendees to bring a blanket or folding chair for lawn seating. The festival is scheduled rain or shine, and coolers are not permitted. Overflow parking will be available at the Valhalla and North White Plains Metro-North stations.

Pre-registration is suggested, but not required for entry. Kensico Dam Plaza is at the north end of the Bronx River Parkway in Valhalla.

Westchester County also announced its remaining 2026 Heritage Festivals, both scheduled from noon to 6 p.m.: Muslim Heritage on Sunday, Aug. 23, at Kensico Dam Plaza in Valhalla, and Arab-American on Sunday, Sept. 13, at Ridge Road Park in Hartsdale. For more information, call 914-231-4500.
