NEW ROCHELLE, NY — An exclusive country club in Westchester was the scene of a case of high-tech voyeurism, according to investigators.

New Rochelle Police Department detectives have arrested 33-year-old Ryan Mack, of West Nyack, on a felony charge in connection with an investigation of an unlawful surveillance that occurred on July 5, at the New York Athletic Club.

On that evening, New York Athletic Club managers contacted the New Rochelle Police Department after they discovered a recording device that had been concealed inside a bathroom at the club.

An investigation by detectives from the New Rochelle Police Department and the Westchester County District Attorney's Office High Tech Unit, found that Mack had hidden the recording device in the Tennis Hut West Restroom and positioned it to capture unsuspecting members while they were using the toilet, according to NRPD. As a result of the investigation, an arrest warrant was issued for Mack, an employee of the club.

After the discovery of the device, Mack went to Kansas where, in mid-July, he was stopped and arrested by the Kansas Highway Patrol just outside of Topeka.

On Wednesday, members of the Westchester County Police Department Warrant Fugitive Unit transported Mack back to Westchester County, where he was formally charged and arraigned in New Rochelle City Court on Thursday.

During the investigation, detectives identified several victims, including children.

Investigators are continuing to seek additional potential victims. The New Rochelle Police Department is asking anyone who believes they may have been recorded, has information relevant to this investigation, or who may have used the locations where the hidden cameras were active, between 6 a.m. and 5 p.m. on any of the listed dates, to contact Detective Marisa Bird at 914-654-2367.

The cameras are believe to have filmed Platform Tennis Hut West restroom (left facing) on Fri., June 19, Saturday, July 4, and Sunday, July 5. The camera also filmed the men's tennis locker room on Sunday, June 21, Thursday, July 2, and Friday, July 3, according to investigators.

Although Mack has been charged, the investigation remains ongoing, and additional charges are possible, according to police.

The New Rochelle Police Department thanked its law enforcement partners for their assistance with the investigation, including the Kansas Highway Patrol, the Westchester County Police Department Warrant Fugitive Unit, and the Westchester County District Attorney's Office High Tech Unit.
