1. 1 Killed In Early Morning Motorcycle Crash Near Beechmont Lake (patch.com) β A 27-year-old New Rochelle man was killed just after midnight when his motorcycle struck a metal bollard off Pinebrook Boulevard near Beechmont Drive, according to city police. An 18-year-old passenger suffered minor injuries, and investigators are still working to determine what caused the crash. Police are asking anyone who saw the incident near Beechmont Lake to call their non-emergency line with information.

2. Restaurant Closes After 11 Years In New Rochelle, Was Known For Comfort Food (dailyvoice.com) β A beloved New Rochelle comfort-food spot, The Wooden Spoon, has closed after 11 years, though its Wooden Spoon Wagon catering will continue through June 2027. Owner and New Rochelle firefighter Nick Triscari drew on family recipes and firehouse dishes, and the North Avenue space is expected to become a Duke's Ramen location later this year.

Youth Justice Forum Brings Judges, Students Together With Boys And Girls Club Of New Rochelle (patch.com) β Young people in New Rochelle recently sat down with top judges and legal leaders at the Boys & Girls Club's Remington Clubhouse to talk about civic engagement and access to justice. The Youth Justice Forum, part of the club's Legal Career Pathway Program, gave students hands-on experience moderating discussions, asking tough questions, and exploring future careers in law and public service.

Siena Men's Golf Announces 2026 Fall Schedule (sienasaints.com) β Siena men's golf will wrap up its 2026 fall season at the new Wykagyl Collegiate, hosted at Wykagyl Country Club in New Rochelle on October 26β27. The tournament, run by nearby Iona, brings a collegiate golf spotlight to the city as teams tune up for spring championships.
