NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Halloween thrills return to the ruins of Wildcliff Mansion tonight, Friday, October 9, as the Haunt at Wildcliff Mansion opens for its 2026 season.
Set on the historic waterfront property overlooking Echo Bay, the Haunt is more than a collection of scary rooms. This year's experience follows the dark story of Dr. Wildcliff, whose wife died during the Spanish flu pandemic. Desperate to bring her back, the doctor begins experimenting on people. Visitors journey through a chilling world of cathedral ruins, crypts, graveyards and a haunted mansion, brought to life with elaborate sets, special effects and live actors.
Created by local educators and haunted-attraction designers David O'Neil and David Calamari, the production brings together professional scenic design and a large team of local volunteers and performers.
The Haunt runs Friday and Saturday nights from 7 to 10:30 p.m. and Sunday nights from 6:30 to 10 p.m. through November 1, except Sunday, October 18. Admission to Haunt at Wildcliff is $25, with Fast Pass and VIP options available. Timed tickets are available at hauntatwildcliff.com.
Families with younger children can also attend Little Haunters, a scaled-down experience without jump scares, offered October 18 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Halloween, October 31, from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $13 per person.
The Halloween event includes trick-or-treating candy at the end. On October 18th we will host our annual Pumpkin Patch event for young children and families. Pumpkins are $10 each and including painting, skeleton scavenger hunt, craft activities and more. Food will be available for purchase. For Pumpkin Patch tickets click here
The Haunt Fest will be on Saturday, October 25th during the Haunt at Wildcliff event and will feature music, food trucks and a beer tent. Enjoy the haunt and then linger and relax for the fest.
The Haunt is the major annual fundraiser for the Hudson Park Children's Greenhouse, a New Rochelle nonprofit that provides hands-on horticultural and environmental education for children and families. Proceeds help support its educational programs and the continued preservation of green space at Wildcliff.
This year's supporters include gold sponsors The Cappelli Organization & Wilder Partner Development; Silver sponsors One Clinton Park/Two Clinton Park and The Huguenot. Community sponsors include Almstead Tree Company, Monroe College, and Transco. These contributions help make the event possible.
The historic Wildcliff Mansion was built in 1852 and served the community as a museum and youth center before a fire destroyed much of the structure in 2018. Today, its dramatic stone ruins provide the backdrop for one of the area's most distinctive Halloween attractions.
