WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY — Early voting will open ahead of the 2026 midterm general election on Saturday. Here's what you need to know.

Westchester County voters will have nine days to cast ballots in person before the 2026 General Election on Nov. 3. Early voting for the general election runs from Saturday, Oct. 24, 2026, through Sunday, Nov. 1, 2026, and all registered voters in the County of Westchester can take part.

According to the county's early voting information for the 2026 General Election, voters may use any of the 25 designated early voting sites throughout Westchester.

Early Voting Polling Places:

The county noted one site change for this year. According to the notice, "The Joseph G. Caputo Community Center has been replaced with St. Ann's School for this year." St. Ann's School, at 16 Elizabeth St. in Ossining, appears on the county's list of early voting centers.

Hours vary by day during the early voting period. Polls are scheduled to be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24; Sunday, Oct. 25; Saturday, Oct. 31; and Sunday, Nov. 1. They are scheduled to be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 26; Wednesday, Oct. 28; and Friday, Oct. 30, and from noon to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 27, and Thursday, Oct. 29.

Voting during early voting is the same as voting on Election Day. Voters will check in, receive a ballot and vote at the site. The county also said instructions will be available at early voting centers, along with a notice to voter and bill of rights, and voters may ask an election inspector for help.

If a voter casts a ballot during the early voting period, that voter is not eligible to vote on Election Day. Early voting results will be canvassed and reported after 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2026, according to the county.

The county also said registered voters may still apply for an early mail ballot. Absentee ballots are also available for voters who qualify under the conditions listed by the county, including being out of Westchester County, illness, disability, caregiving status, Veterans Hospital residency, or certain jail detention circumstances.
