According to information released by the Putnam County Board of Elections, registered voters in the county may vote early from Saturday, Oct. 24, 2026, through Sunday, Nov. 1, 2026. The county listed two early voting locations for the general election: the Putnam County Board of Elections, 25 Old Route 6, Carmel, NY 10512, and the American Legion, 10 Cedar St., Cold Spring, NY 10516.

The county said the early voting process is the same as on Primary and General Election Day. Voters arriving at an early voting site will sign the electronic poll book, mark their ballot and cast it on the voting machine. Sample ballots will be available at the polling location for voters who want to review the ballot before voting, according to the county. Voters may also ask an election inspector for assistance if needed.

Putnam County said all early voting poll sites are accessible to voters with physical disabilities. The county also said voters who are unable to appear at the polls during the early voting period or on Election Day may still vote by mail.

The posted schedule for early voting begins with 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. hours on Saturday, Oct. 24, Sunday, Oct. 25, and Monday, Oct. 26. Hours then shift to noon to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 27, return to 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 28, move again to noon to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 29, and continue 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 30, Saturday, Oct. 31, and Sunday, Nov. 1.

The county said that if a voter casts a ballot during early voting, that voter is not allowed to vote on Election Day. Early voting results will be canvassed and reported after 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2026, according to the county.
