NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Anti-Semitic language was found at Albert Leonard Middle School in New Rochelle, according to school officials. Principal John Barnes said in an email to the community that the "act of hate" was discovered Tuesday toward the back of the school blacktop.

Barnes said students did not go outside Monday due to the weather, and during Tuesday's eighth-grade lunch, a student brought what was written to the attention of one of the security monitors.

The school notified local authorities of the anti-Semitic language and filed a police report.
