NEW ROCHELLE, NY — New Rochelle police, with the help of the FBI Safe Streets Task Force and the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office, have nabbed a suspect in connection with a Feb. 24 road rage incident.

New Rochelle police were called to the 300 block of North Ave on a report of stabbing just after 3:30 p.m. The victim, a woman in her twenties, had been cut on the abdomen with a blade. Her injuries required emergency medical attention.

Investigators said the slashing appeared to be the result of a road rage altercation, in which a verbal dispute escalated. The suspect, later identified as Michael Thunderhorse, got out of his car and stabbed the unarmed victim in the stomach, police said.
