Astorino Announces County Offers Free Vaccines for College Students
Free walk-in college clinic Thursday, May 7, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Westchester Community College in the Science Building Lounge
To help college students stay healthy through finals and beyond, County Executive Robert P. Astorino announced that the health department will offer free vaccines that protect against certain cancers and meningitis, along with the flu, at a one-day walk-in clinic open to all county college students.
The free clinic will take place on Thursday, May 7, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Science Building lounge at Westchester Community College, 75 Grasslands Road, Valhalla.
College students under age 18 must bring a parent or guardian, and two follow-up clinic visits may be needed to complete the HPV vaccine series.

“College students often neglect their health, “said Sherlita Amler, MD, Commissioner of Health. “With this vaccine clinic, we are making it easier for them to protect themselves from some serious illnesses. These vaccines are all recommended for college students.”
Free parking is available. The campus is accessible via Bee-Line buses No. 1-C, 15, 40 & 41or via Metro-North Railroad Harlem Line train to White Plains, and transfer to the 40, 41 or 15 bus.
