Bartholomew and Baudendistel Recognized With HVIAC Weekly Honors

The Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its weekly softball honors recently, and junior Shamella Bartholomew and sophomore Katy Baudendistel were recognized as Player and Pitcher of the Week, respectively.

Bartholomew paced the Blue Angel offense, batting .500 on the week and stealing two bases.  Her best game of the week came against the College of Mt. St. Vincent, as the junior went 2-2 with two stolen bases.  She also recorded five putouts from her outfield position.

Baudendistel made her first collegiate appearance in the circle last week, and twirled four shutout innings of relief, scattering six hits while striking out two against the College of Mt. St. Vincent.  She also went the distance against SUNY Canton.
