Bites Nearby: Gallery Cafe

You could stand on a corner and look around until a restaurant sign draws you in, but we've got a better idea. Each week, New Rochelle Patch picks a great restaurant either in town or nearby that is worth checking out.

With the weather getting warmer, it is nice to get out and enjoy downtown New Rochelle again, with all its shopping, entertainment and restaurants. If you are like me, it's always nice to find a place where you can stop and grab a sandwich, a cup of coffee and use your computer. The Gallery Cafe offers all of this and more.

Located near the library green on Lawton Street, Gallery Cafe keeps it simple and boasts "real food—fresh ingredients—made fast."  It offers wraps, paninis, a full breakfast menu, soups and salads, most of which are priced between $5-10.

"The food is so delicious. I personally love getting the lemon-aid [sic] and the chicken pesto wrap, but I’m sure everything is amazing. My friends and I love to go there for an outing out and a fun place to escape and relax," remarked one customer on a Google review of the eatery.

The restaurant also offers catering services and will deliver to your nearby home or office. Gallery Café does not accept credit cards, so be sure to bring cash.
