Burglary Investigation Leads To Gun Charges
New Rochelle police say while investigating Sincere Thomas in connection with a home break-in, officers discovered he had a loaded gun.
NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Police investigating a suspected home break-in arrested a New Rochelle man on weapons charges. Thursday afternoon, police were called to a home on Horton Avenue to respond to reports of someone trying to break down the door of the home. The suspect involved was reportedly armed with a gun.
After arriving on the scene, officers were able to detain Sincere Thomas, who was discovered exiting the property. Police confirmed the 20-yea- old was in possession of a loaded handgun. The New Rochelle resident was arrested at the scene. He is now facing a charge of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree-Loaded Firearm.
