Bruce Zeller Planetarium at New Rochelle High School

The Lyrid meteor showers peaks April 21st to 22nd. This meteor shower
comes from the debris left behind by Comet Thatcher. Look east starting
around 10 pm near the star Vega in Lyrae the Harp
• Jupiter is still visible most of the night in the constellation Gemini the
Twins.
• The Comet C/2025 R3 will be visible starting around April 17th. Look in
the eastern sky in the constellation Pegasus and above Pisces. Comets
are considered to be "dirty snowballs" orbiting the Sun. Some have
beautiful tails.

Date: Wednesday, April 22, 2026
Place: Bruce Zeller Planetarium (I have a new name) Entrance at corner of Argyle
and Flandreau Ave.
Time: 6 p.m. Doors open at 5:45
Shows begin promptly and no one is admitted once the door closes
