Call for Submissions: NRCA Youth Storytelling and Poetry Slam

On stage March 17th at the Ossie Davis Theater at the New Rochelle Public Library

The New Rochelle Council on the Art's Youth Advisory Committee will present a Storytelling and Poetry Slam on Sunday, March 17th in the Ossie Davis Theater at the New Rochelle Public Library. Young people between the ages of 13 and 18 are invited to apply for the chance to perform their poetry or monologue. Applicants are asked to please keep all submissions under 650 words/ five minutes of performance time. The theme of this event is CHANGE AND GROWTH: Applicants should share a story that they feel truly represents them and their journey.
