The definition of a Community Champion is someone who works tirelessly to improve the quality of life in their community. Some work with or for an organization while other champions start movements or organize people on their own. Whatever it is they do, they think of the community before themselves. They are committed to making things better for everyone.
Come join The Huguenot & New Rochelle Historical Association as they honor some of New Rochelle’s Community Champions and in turn help raise funds that allows them to continue spreading the history of founding father Thomas Paine and founding families of New Rochelle, The Huguenots. As well as having some fun at their Colonial Fair & Colonial Haunted House, their numerous lectures & school class programs and maintaining & operating The Thomas Paine Cottage Museum.
All without the aid of any Federal funding.
