ArtsFest 2022 kicks off this Thursday, October 20 and runs through Sunday, October 23 with 40 venues presenting the work of more than 200 artists (visual artists, performers, artisans) and among the striking exhibits will be a bevy of automotive beauties.
The free ArtsFest Classic Car Show -- "The Art, Culture and Design of the Classic Automobile" -- is an automotive design retrospective focusing on classic automobiles, selected to participate in the show by invitation only. Vehicles spanning the 1920’s, 30’s, 40’s, 50’s, 60’s and 70’s will be on exhibit on Saturday October 22nd (rain date October 23rd) from 11 am to 4:30 pm. The designated show area is in the Hamilton Avenue Parking Lot, adjacent to New Rochelle City Hall at the corner of North Avenue at Hamilton Avenue -- the gateway to New Rochelle’s Historic District on the southeast side of City Hall.
The curated collection of cars will be on display starting at 11 am. From 12 noon to 2 pm there will be rollicking live music by Fat Boi's Brass Band, New York's premier brass band bringing a slice of NOLA to New Ro. The Classic Car Show was organized by Nick Pagani of Ace Auto and Alan Cohen of AJ's Burgers, with help from NRCA Advisory Board member Michael Dandry. AJ's Burgers (located right across the street at 542 North Avenue) is the event's in-kind sponsor.
