Clinton Honored At Westchester Parks Foundation Gala On Glen Island
The former Secretary of State and former US Senator from NY, received the foundation's inaugural Leadership Award.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The Glen Island Harbor Club was the perfect venue to honor those who have helped make the Westchester County park system the envy of other communities around the world.
Hillary Rodham Clinton received the inaugural Leadership Award, along with other honorees Montesano Bros, Wegmans and the Adaptive Sports & Therapeutic Recreation Program at Burke Rehabilitation, at the Westchester Parks Foundation's 46th Annual "Parks Are Essential Gala" on Thursday.
Clinton was honored in part for her work on environmental sustainability and disability rights for children. The former First Lady and Westchester resident visited one of the county's most popular parks to receive her award in person.

Over 450 people attended the event with funds benefitting the WPF. The foundation offers programs and services to preserve, enhance and beautify Westchester County Parks, including its recently launched Trails Are Essential program and Merriwood at Camp Morty teen empowerment program.
