Coastal Flood Advisory Issued for Long Island Sound Shore
Flooding is anticipated between Thursday night and early Friday morning along the New York Sound Shore.

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY — The National Weather Service has issued a Coastal Flood Advisory for southern Westchester County and southern Fairfield County from 11 p.m. Thursday night until 1 a.m. on Friday morning.
The NWS said there could be tidal departures of up to one foot above ground level. The areas vulnerable to flooding are expected to be limited to land near the shoreline.
Minor coastal flooding could affect some roads and low-lying properties, including parking lots, parks, lawns, and homes and businesses with basements near the waterfront.

Additional minor flooding is possible Friday night and Saturday night.
The NWS said that travelers in the affected areas are advised to allow extra time to reach their destinations. Motorists are warned not to drive around barricades or through any water on the roadway of unknown depth.
