Coastal Flooding Possible Thursday Into Friday
One to 2 feet of inundation can be expected above ground level.

The possibility of heavy rain moving into the Hudson Valley that had led the National Weather Service to issued a coastal flood advisory. The advisory is for southern Westchester and is in effect from 10 p.m. Thursday through 1 a.m. Friday.
The NWS said minor coastal flooding with tidal departures of 1/2 to 1 foot above astronomical tides Thursday evening for vulnerable coastal locales along the western Long Island Sound.
There is a low threat of property damage. Shallow flooding is expected in the most vulnerable locations near the waterfront and shoreline.

Some roads and low lying property including parking lots, parks, lawns and homes/businesses with basements near the waterfront will experience shallow flooding.
