Jah-Leah Ellis has been named Women's Basketball Player of the Week by the HVIAC and the AD3I

The College of New Rochelle senior forward Jah-Leah Ellis (Harlem, NY/Hun School of Princeton) has been named Women’s Basketball Player of the Week by the Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) and the Association of Division III Independents (AD3I), it was announced today by the respective conference offices.
Ellis averaged 21.5 points, 11.5 rebounds, 5.0 steals and 3.5 assists per game for the Blue Angels last week. After recording a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds, adding three assists and a game-high six steals, against Bard College, the senior exploded for a season high 30 points in CNR’s road win at College at Old Westbury. The forward added 11 rebounds, four assists and four steals while playing all 40 minutes. Ellis’ double-double total stands at an NCAA DIII-leading nine, and she also ranks in the top-15 nationally in rebounds and points per game.
This marks the third straight week, and fourth time this season, that Ellis has been recognized by the HVIAC this season. AD3I has selected the senior twice so far this year for her outstanding performances.
