The College of New Rochelle: HVIAC Names Ball Tennis Rookie of the Week

NEW ROCHELLE, NY - Following an undefeated week, freshmen Kelly Ball (Nanuet, NY/Nanuet) of The College of New Rochelle tennis team was named Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Conference (HVIAC) Rookie of the Week, it was announced by the conference office on Tuesday.

Ball posted a 2-0 record this week in doubles, including her first collegiate win. Ball paired with senior teammate Jewel Davis for an 8-4 triumph over Berkeley at No. 3 doubles, which helped lead the team to their first win of the season. The duo paired up again against Albertus Magnus for their second win of the weekend with an 8-3 score.

Ball and the Blue Angels return to the courts Wednesday October 8, when the team hosts John Jay for a non-conference match beginning at 4pm.
