The College of New Rochelle: HVIAC Names Cambel Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week
The College of New Rochelle's Hannah Cambel has been named HVIAC Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY – The Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) has named The College of New Rochelle rookie guard Hannah Cambel (Houston, TX/Westbury Christian) its Women’s Basketball Rookie of the Week, it was announced today by the conference office.
Cambel poured in a team-high 19 points in the Blue Angels game against College Mt. St. Vincent, including four trifectas. The HVIAC leader in three pointers, the rookie guard shot nearly 50% from the field (7-15) and from beyond the arc (4-9) while playing a game-high 37 minutes. She led all scorers at the half with 11 points to help keep CNR in the game as the Blue Angels’ top-two scorers combined for just 13 minutes due to foul trouble.
Next up for the Blue Angels is the Dr. Betty Shabazz Tournament, hosted by Medgar Evers College. CNR (3-1, 1-0 HVIAC), the defending tournament champion, takes on College at Old Westbury on Saturday, November 29 at 6:00 PM.
