AD3I has named The College of New Rochelle basketball forward Jah-Leah Ellis its Student-Athlete of the Month for the month of January.

The Association of Division III Independents (AD3I) has named The College of New Rochelle women’s basketball forward Jah-Leah Ellis its Student-Athlete of the Month for the month of January.

Ellis averaged a team-leading 19.2 points, 13.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.4 steals per game in leading The College of New Rochelle to a 3-2 January. The senior tallied four double-doubles in January and poured in a career-high 35 points in a come-from-behind road win at Purchase College. Her best all-round game came in a home win over Vaughn College, as the senior came within an assist of the program’s first triple-double, scoring 15 points, pulling down 22 rebounds and adding nine assists.

This marks the third straight month AD3I has recognized the senior with this award. She also received this honor in November of 2013.
