The College of New Rochelle's Jah-Leah Ellis Earns Trio of Player of the Week Awards
Jah-Leah Ellis has earned the MBWA, HVIAC and ECAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week Honors

Jah-Leah Ellis (Harlem, NY/Hun School of Princeton) of The College of New Rochelle has been named Women’s Divisions II-III Player of the Week by the Met Basketball Writers Association (MBWA). This comes in addition to Ellis being named Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) and ECAC DIII Metro Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.
The MBWA designations, for games played Jan. 19-25, are unique in that they encompass players from 74 Met area schools across Divisions I, II and III. Army’s Kelsey Minato was named the DI recipient.
This honor marks the first time since Ruchelle Austin on December 18, 2007, and just the second time ever, that a Blue Angel has been recognized with this honor.
