Conor Mara Presents Mara Family Award to Vinny Porricelli

Longtime Rams Athletic Trainer honored at Fordham Football Dinner.

Conor Mara (left), Wellington Mara’s grandson and a fellow Fordham University alum, presented the “Mara Family Award” to longtime Rams athletic trainer Vinny Porricelli (center) at the Fordham Football Dinner on November 6th at the Yale Club in New York City. Conor is pictured with his father Chris Mara (right), Giants senior vice president. Conor is currently marketing supervisor at Empire City Casino at Yonkers Raceway.

The prestigious Mara Family Award is named for named for the late, legendary New York Football Giants owner Wellington Mara (Fordham College at Rose Hill, Class of 1937) and his family, and is given annually to an individual or group who embody the best traits of a Fordham person. It is awarded to those whose dedication to, and conviction for, Fordham Football best represents what the Mara family has meant to Fordham, the NFL, and all the communities they touch.
