Police warn the public to obtain information on how to protect their indentity and credit card info.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The New Rochelle Police Department wants the public to know that it found a credit card skimming device at a city gas station credit card payment terminal.

According to a post on the department’s Facebook page, police said it is often difficult to determine that a device is attached to a payment terminal or ATM.

They said consumers should contact their banks and/or credit card companies to obtain information on how to protect one’s identity and credit/debit information.
