DEADLINE EXTENDED FOR TRI-STATE AREA COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS TO APPLY FOR SECOND ANNUAL GRASSROOTS NUTRITION PROGRAM GRANTS

New York Tri State McDonald’s Restaurant Owners Extend Deadline to June 14 to Receive Proposals for Nutrition Programs
The deadline for local organizations to submit applications for the second annual McDonald’s New York Metro Nutrition Network has been extended to June 14. The program, implemented last year by the New York Tri-State McDonald’s Restaurant Owners, will award seed grants to six local organizations to spur grassroots nutrition initiatives in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.
After evaluating the interest expressed from organizations across the region, the New York Tri-State McDonald’s Restaurant Owners wanted to provide additional time to ensure all candidates have the opportunity to apply. The new deadline will allow organizations an additional month to submit proposals before a judging panel reviews applications and announces the winners in July.
New for 2013, Tri-State area non-profits can apply online via www.McDNYMetroNutritionNetwork.com. Applications will be evaluated based on a number of factors including the impact of the proposed program on nutrition awareness in the community. Completed applications can also be mailed to: McDonald’s Owners/Operators Association; Attention: McDonald’s New York Metro Nutrition Network; PO Box 280; Little Falls, NJ 07424.
