Dog Food Recall Issued By Manufacturer

The company said the cans of food can be returned to an authorized retailer.

A brand of canned dog food has been recalled because it does not contain the proper amount of vitamins and minerals.

Fromm Family Pet Food said it has voluntarily recalled 12-ounce cans of Gold canned dog food pates for containing elevated levels of vitamin D.

The company, in a statement posted on its website, said the impact of excess vitamin D “should be seen only when dogs have eaten these product as their exclusive meals for an extended period of time.”
