Empire City Casino Record Jackpot Soars to $1.8 Million, Waiting to be Hit; Yonkers Woman Hits for Six-Figure

While the record-breaking jackpot still up for grabs escalated passed the $1.8 million mark at Empire City Casino on Sunday (June 18), a Yonkers woman brought home the third six-figure jackpot in less than a month at the Yonkers-based casino.
The lucky local lady, identified as “Lynneth,” scored for $104,398 at 3:00 pm on Sunday when a $5.00 wager on the $1 denomination Black Gone Wild slot-machine paid the major dividends.
Within the past few weeks, the Casino celebrated two other six-figure jackpot wins. On May 27, James E. Dobson traveled from Maryland to hit a $143,723 jackpot with a $10 wager on the $5 denomination Wheel of Fortune machine, while on May 21, another lucky James made a shorter trip from The Bronx when James M. hit a $149,931 jackpot with a $6 wager, also on a Wheel of Fortune $1 denomination slot.
