The Beauty Queen of Leenane, a play written by Martin McDonagh will be performed by the Iona College Theatre Ensemble at the Doorley Auditorium on the Iona campus.
Play synopsis: "Set in the mountains of Connemara, County Galway, the production tells the tale of Maureen Folan, a plain and lonely woman, and Mag, her manipulative aging mother, whose interference in Maureen's first and possibly final chance of a loving relationship sets in motion a train of events that leads inexorably towards the play's riveting denouement."
