"A walk around beautiful Tibbets Brook Park to help raise funds for badly needed service dogs for severely wounded combat veterans. Meet a veteran and his/her partner service dog. Get as many friends and family to sponsor you with your own exclusive fundraising webpage. Set a goal and try to be among the top fundraisers who will earn awards and prizes. Bring your family, bring your dog, enjoy the outdoors knowing you're helping our troops.
(Please note: dogs must be leashed, picked up after, and all park rules observed)
We are excited to announce that Westchester Executive Rob Astorino and City of Yonkers Mayor Phil Amicone will officially kick-off the Walk for Wounded Veterans in honor of Veterans Day. Also present for this event will be one or more Veteran/Dog teams to discuss the value a service dog can bring to an injured veteran. They will lead the walk in the event in honor of The Tower of Hope, which sponsored their dogs.
Please call 888-317-8014 for more information on how you can get publicity for your local company by being a Corporate Sponsor of this event!
