There will be a brief ceremony at 11 AM, followed by tours, talks, songs and living history demonstrations recalling the lives and service of veterans buried in the historic cemetery, with an emphasis on Civil War soldiers, commemorating the 150th anniversary of the conflict of 1861-1865. This includes a 1 PM presentation by Professor Mark James Morreale of Marist College: “Awful Beyond Description”: Hudson Valley Soldiers and the Civil War.
