Fatal 2-Car Crash Closes Hutch Ramp At Cross County For Hours
Traffic tie-ups continued into the afternoon following the horrific accident in Mount Vernon early Saturday morning.
WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY — Two vehicles were involved in a fatal crash on the Cross County Parkway near the Hutchinson River Parkway in Mount Vernon early Saturday morning.
One person was killed and several other motorists were critically injured in the car crash in Mount Vernon.
UPDATE: 1:13 p.m. The Westchester County Department of Public Safety reports that the exit ramp from the Cross County Parkway to the Hutchinson River Parkway has been cleared and is now reopened to traffic.

The collision happened shortly before 5:30 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of the Cross County Parkway. Five injured victims who survived the crash were rushed to Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx.
Three of the victims are in critical condition. The Exit 9 ramp southbound on the Hutchinson River Parkway remained closed into the afternoon as accident investigators were on the scene, according to Westchester County Police.
