NEW ROCHELLE, NY - Children in New Rochelle can look forward to a new playground to be built at Feeney Park this spring.
According to a release posted on the city’s website, the new facility will be paid for by a grant from “Build It with KaBOOM!”
Building a new playground was part of New Rochelle’s Master Plan, said Parks and Recreation Commissioner Bill Zimmermann.

KaBOOM! is a national nonprofit organization. It partnered with MetLife Foundation for the funds, tools and resources for a custom-made playground for Feeney Park.

The city and New Rochelle Boys and Girls Club held a playground design meeting with local children and families to play the facility.
There will be a community build day June 3.
