Flash Flood Watch For Parts Of Hudson Valley
Up to 3 inches of rain fell Monday afternoon and evening, the NWS said.

A flash flood watch is in effect for parts of the Hudson Valley Tuesday. The National Weather Service issued the watch which is in effect until noon Tuesday for Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester counties.
As much as 1 to 3 inches of rain, with locally higher amounts, fell across the watch area Monday afternoon and evening.
Scattered heavy rain showers and isolated thunderstorms will continue to move across the area Tuesday morning, with an additional 1/2 to 1 inch of rain possible.

Additional heavy rain moving over already saturated grounds may produce localized flash flooding. This will be especially true in areas of poor drainage, low-lying areas and in urban areas.
