Former Carnegie Library Now Historic Landmark in New Rochelle
Historic designation will prevent demolition or alterations.

New Rochelle, NY — The Carnegie Library building in New Rochelle is now a local historic landmark.
The New Rochelle City Council voted Tuesday unanimously to make the designation which will give the building more protection, according to an article by Christopher J. Eberhart at lohud.com.

City Historian Barbara Davis said the Historic and Landmarks Review Board will review and give advice on any alterations that could impact the buildings historical integrity.
