NEW ROCHELLE, NY — This year, one of the most highly anticipated events of the year isn't just a chance to have a little outdoor fun and raise money for the worthiest of causes, but will also honor a familiar face who has worked tirelessly to help families find homes they can call their own.

The Fuller Center for Housing of Greater New York City is hosting its 22nd Annual Build-A-Community Golf Challenge on Oct. 3, at the Wykagyl Country Club in New Rochelle. This year’s Golf Challenge will honor John A. Verni, Esq., with proceeds from this year’s event to be used to create homeownership opportunities for families, revitalize neighborhoods, and rebuild homes after disasters like hurricanes and fires.

"We look forward to the return of our annual Build-A-Community Golf Challenge as we honor John Verni and further our mission of providing adequate shelter for all people in need throughout the New York Metropolitan area," Fuller Center for Housing of Greater New York City CEO Jim Killoran said. "Our Golf Challenge promises to be a fun-filled event while helping us continue to build communities and transform lives."
