'Fun In The Sun' Literacy Workshops Back At New Rochelle Library
Educator Kim Block will lead reading workshops that are designed to build a love of reading in young children.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — It's never too early to begin cultivating a lifelong love of reading and the New Rochelle Public Library is calling on the right combination of expertise and passion to help build that foundation.
Educator Kim Block, the founder of Building Blocks, will be returning to the New Rochelle Public Library for two sessions this summer to conduct "fun in the sun" workshops to promote early literacy.
Sessions will take place from 2 p.m. - 2:45 p.m., on both Wednesday, July 13 and Thursday, August 18. Parents will also be introduced to strategies and creative activities to help engage their children, from pre-K to 2nd grade, as they read together.
