Greenwich Driver Arrested For DWI Following New Rochelle I-95 Stop
The driver on The New England Thruway had a BAC three times the legal limit, New York State Police said.
NEW ROCHELLE, NY — A Connecticut man put New York lives at risk, driving with a blood alcohol content three times the legal limit, according to state troopers.
On Saturday, around 6:20 p.m., state police stopped a vehicle on I-95 in New Rochelle for traffic violations and found the driver to be intoxicated.
The 50-year-old Greenwich man was taken into custody. Ismael G. Mercado-Palma's BAC was determined to be .24 percent, according to police.

Mercado-Palma was charged with misdemeanor aggravated driving while intoxicated.
He was turned over to a sober third party and released on appearance tickets returnable to the City of Newburgh Court on August 30.
