Hazardous Weather Possible: Poughkeepsie's Weekend Weather
We let you know what to expect for the upcoming weekend in Newburgh and Beacon.

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — There’s more precipitation headed to the Hudson Valley through the weekend, but thanks to rising temperatures, it will be liquid and not frozen for the most part. A snowstorm is moving east from Iowa and could affect the mid-Hudson Valley Friday in terms of snow showers.
Hudson Valley Weather said that the approaching warm front will allow some snow showers to develop across the region — light, if at all, in the southern portion of the valley and a dusting to an inch as you head north.
For the rest of the weekend, be sure and take the umbrella along.

The snow and rain in the forecast has prompted the National Weather Service to issue a Hazardous Weather Outlook for Columbia, Dutchess and Ulster counties for Friday because of light snow Friday afternoon into Friday night. For Saturday through Thursday the outlook was issued because a wintry mix will be possible Saturday night into Sunday morning, especially in the northern most parts of the mid-Hudson Valley.
For Orange County, there is a Hazardous Weather Outlook for Saturday through Thursday due to the chance for moderate to heavy rain which could cause flooding in urban areas.
