Heat, Hazardous Weather Possible For Hudson Valley Thursday
Some parts of the area will be impacted by heat; other parts, storms with damaging winds.

It’s July, and it’s New York, so there are frequently going to be weather issues that involve heat and humidity. So Thursday is just one of those days that we all have to be aware of in terms of Hazard Weather Outlooks. The National Weather Service has issued outlooks for all parts of the lower and mid-Hudson Valley for Thursday.

For Rockland and Westchester counties, in addition to an Air Quality Alert, there is a Heat Advisory in effect until 6 p.m. Thursday.

In addition — and this also include Orange and Putnam counties — there a low threat for a convective complex, with a flash flood and damaging wind threat, to pass through the region Thursday night into early Friday morning.
For Columbia, Dutchess and Ulster counties, there is a marginal risk of severe thunderstorms Thursday evening into the night.
