Home Depot, New Rochelle Distribute Hygiene Kits To Community

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The Home Depot Foundation and the city of New Rochelle partnered to distribute 100 hygiene kits to support local nonprofits during the ongoing pandemic. They packaged critical supplies including an assortment of cleaning products, sanitizers and more.

The kits were distributed to nonprofits throughout the community and will serve families and residents around New Rochelle.

"Not-for-profit organizations have played a vital role in sustaining the people of New Rochelle throughout the COVID crisis," New Rochelle Mayor Noam Bramson, "so I am grateful for Home Depot's generous act of corporate citizenship and for the valuable material support they are donating to our community's essential service providers."

John Mclean, the store manager in New Rochelle, said the company was proud to work alongside the city to provide essential supplies for the community.

"Giving back and doing the right thing are two of the core values at the Home Depot," he said.

The project is part of the Home Depot Foundation’s commitment to supporting local communities, according to a spokesperson. During the global pandemic, the organization has contributed more than $50 million and taken other steps to support the communities it serves. Home Depot also donated millions of dollars in personal protective equipment and other products to hospitals, health care providers and first responders.
