Icy Conditions Delay Hutchinson River 'Chill Walk'
Hutchinson River Restoration Project is offering 3 family-friendly walks, but the fun will have to wait for a better conditions.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — The Chill Walk that was meant to happen this Saturday has been postponed due to snow and ice conditions on the trail. The Hutchinson River Restoration Projectwill announce a new date soon.
The groundhog says we can start planning outdoor fun again and the folks at The Hutchinson River Restoration Project have a chill way to celebrate the coming of spring on the right foot.
The organization on a mission to restore and enhance the health of the waterway has announced three unique Hutchinson River "Chill Walks" in the coming weeks. The group said the educational strolls are suitable for the whole family. The walks offer the chance to get outdoors and see a world hidden to most, along with a chance to learn something new about a key Long Island Sound estuary.

The first chill walk was take place at Twin Lakes/Nature Study Woods, in New Rochelle, on Saturday, but the date will be rescheduled depending on the predictions of a more reliable weather forecaster than the groundhog. Participants will meet at the Flandreau Avenue and Webster Avenue entrance.
Street parking is available and the 45 Bee Line bus will also get you there. Participants can register here.

There are two other walks planned to herald the arrival of spring weather. On March 10, a chill walk will come to Mount Vernon and on April 13, a hike is planned in the Bronx.
