The weather has been cooperating this spring as I work on creating a new garden in a space about 30' x 30' in the furthest corner of my son's back yard. He gave me carte blanche from the front of the garage to the back fence. Oh boy! I get a large blank slate to make something beautiful in an otherwise blah and ugly space. It's like painting a picture with a lot of sweat and shovels, forks, and rakes as I move grass and dirt, and plant perennials. Of course, a fence needed to be put up first to keep out the the dogs, who love to walk all over any new plantings!
