Intoxicated Driver Crashed Into 16 Cars Before Wild Ride Ended: Cops

A 71-year-old was arrested and charged with felony driving while intoxicated, according to New Rochelle police.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — There are quite a few drivers in New Rochelle who will be spending some time talking with their insurance companies this week after a rough weekend on the roads.

On Saturday, just after 7:3o p.m., New Rochelle police were called to Mayflower Avenue and Pelhamdale Avenue on a report of an erratic driver who struck multiple parked vehicles. Police who arrived on the scene spotted 16 vehicles that appeared to have been hit by the rogue driver.

Investigators located the 71-year-old driver they believe was involved with these 16 collisions and took him into custody.
