Iona College Professor Dr. Ronald Yager Awarded Electrical Engineering Honor
Fuzzy sets is a technology that helps in the development of intelligent/smart digital applications and products that are becoming common.

Iona College professor Dr. Ronald R. Yager was recently awarded the 2016 Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Frank Rosenblatt Award for outstanding contributions to the advancement of “Fuzzy sets and systems,” the college announced.
Fuzzy sets is a technology that helps in the development of the kinds of intelligent/smart digital applications and products that are becoming so pervasive in our society by allowing the inclusion of human-like reasoning in computer software, according to the college.
“I am pleased and honored to receive this highly prestigious award and I am particularly appreciative of Iona’s long term continued supportive environment for my research, without which I would not have been able to achieve this honor,” said Dr. Yager in a statement.
