Iona College Takes a Top Spot on New Money Magazine List of the Most Transformative Colleges in the Nation

Education has the power to change lives, and in a ranking just released by Money.com, Iona College hails as one of the top colleges to deliver a college experience that creates pathways for success that maximize a student’s personal and economic growth potential.

Iona College ranked #13 in the nation on Money.com’s list of most Transformative Colleges in the publication’s “Best Colleges for Your Money 2019” feature. Applying a unique “value-add” measurement to compare colleges across the U.S., the ranking confirms that Iona College gives its students the knowledge, support, resources, and access to drive life-changing success after graduation.

“The Money magazine ranking is a testament to Iona College's mission and ability to provide a transformative education that provides each student the academic and co-curricular experience to maximize their individual potential,” notes Darrell P. Wheeler, Ph.D., MPH, ACSW, Iona College provost and senior vice president for academic affairs.

The report on Money.com follows a series of impressive rankings for Iona College’s return on investment. In 2018, Iona received high ratings from Payscale.com for mid-career earnings for alumni, ranking in the top 10% of the country, and first in Westchester. Additionally, in analysis from Nexus Research and Policy Center in Washington D.C. that annually evaluates the 68 colleges participating in the NCAA men’s basketball tournament for how well they support student income mobility, Iona ranked in the top four.
