Iona College Unveils New Dorm in Time for Move-In Day
More than 300 students will live in apartment-style housing.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — As Iona College students moved into their dorms Sunday and Monday, there was one more place to put their belongings.
The new, seven-story North Avenue Residence Hall opened its doors to more than 300 students.
Construction at the former Mirage Diner site began in May 2015.

The building includes commercial-use facilities on the ground floor and six floors of apartment-style student housing, according to information on the college’s website.
Plans for the street-level retail space are in the works, college officials said. The college is searching for a partner that will benefit both students and the community.
