'It's A Wonderful Life' Presented At Ursuline School

The stage presentation is based on the story whose film version became a timeless Christmas classic.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — A stage version of timeless classic “It’s a Wonderful Life” will be presented by The Ursuline School Drama Club. The iconic story depicts George Bailey, a man who had given up on his dreams and on life, and the angel Clarence who guides him, according to organizers.

The story was popularized in the 1946 film version and has become a classic Christmas tale.

Director Edie Ann Reidy said the play reaches all with its message that every life touches so many others: You must appreciate what you have while you have it and not take the small things for granted.

As everyone remembers, it is Zuzu, George Bailey's daughter, who says to her father the famous line "Look, Daddy. Teacher says, every time a bell rings an angel gets its wings.“

Performances will be at 6:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, November 17 and 18 in the Frank J. Auriana Theater. Tickets are $10 at the door; $5 for students with ID.
